How Type Matchups Work
In Roco Kingdom: World, every skill belongs to one of 18 elemental types. Hitting an enemy with a type they're weak to deals 2× damage. Hitting one they resist deals 0.5× damage.
Type matchups are the single most important combat mechanic — more impactful than raw level differences.
Common Matchups (Quick Reference)
- Water beats Fire, Fire beats Grass, Grass beats Water (the classic triangle)
- Flying beats Bug, Grass; Electric beats Water, Flying
- Ground beats Fire, Electric; Ice beats Dragon, Grass, Flying
- Fighting beats Normal, Ice; Ghost beats Ghost
- Dark beats Ghost, Psychic; Psychic beats Fighting, Poison
Dual-Type Spirits
Some spirits have two types. Damage taken stacks:
- If both types are weak → 4× damage (very dangerous!)
- If one is weak and the other resists → returns to 1× (neutral)
